Caryn Linda Navy (born in 1953) is an American mathematician and computer scientist. Blind since childhood, she is chiefly known for her work in set-theoretic topology and Braille technology.
She studied maths at MIT and has an MA and PhD from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She taught at Bucknell University before leaving to work full time with her husband with Raised Dot Computing, focused on computer Braille technology, prodicing software that ran on AppleII, MS-DOS and Microsoft systems. Their company was bought out in 1999, but they still work for the successor.
